Shanel - Business Coordinator

I grew up in Battle Creek and graduated from Pennfield in 2002. I have been working in the dental field since 2005. I love working with so many amazing people at Halonen Dentistry. I am very dedicated to making sure every patient is comfortable and happy while receiving care here. I am very honored to be part of a family run practice with such wonderful people to surround myself with every day. I have two daughters, Lexia and Madison. We love to spend all of our extra time in Traverse City, playing sports, snowmobiling and riding quads. We are a very active family. I look forward to watching my daughters grow and bring even more exciting things to our life.

Jenny - Scheduling Coordinator

I was born and raised in Battle Creek, entering into the dental field in 2002. It is a passion for me to be able to help patients and make entering in the dental office a good experience. My husband and I have one son, that is growing up too fast. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. I’m looking forward to many years with Halonen Family Dentistry.

Anne - Scheduling Coordinator

I have been employed in the dental profession since 1977. I have been with the Halonen Family since 2000. I maintain integrity and honesty in all situations, both personally and professionally. I take pride in making our patients feel comfortable and confident when assisting the doctors in all procedures. When away from the office, I spend time with my family. I have been married to my husband, Mike, since 1981. We have three children and seven grandchildren, and we continue to count our blessings. In the summer we enjoy a family cottage and all the fun that goes along with a close family.

Danielle - Scheduling Coordinator

I was born and raised right here in Battle Creek. I first entered the dental field in 2016 and have experience working at a Federally Qualified Health Center, Orthodontics, and General Practice. I truly enjoy establishing relationships with patients and their families. I am so excited to be a part of the Halonen Dentistry team! My husband and I have four children all together and two dogs. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, reading, cooking, and going on vacations.

Shannon - Dental Hygienist

I was born and raised in Battle Creek. I have 2 children and a wonderful husband. I graduated from KCC’s dental hygiene program in 1994. I have been at Halonen Dentistry since 2016. I love dental health and helping my patients with whatever I can to make their experience wonderful. I love my relationships that I have made over the years and watched as families have grown up. I look forward to coming into work daily. I love spending time with my family. My husband and I enjoy going to concerts and walking our dogs.

McKenzie - Dental Hygienist

I completed the Dental Hygiene program at KCC in 2001. My career in the dental field has been very rewarding. I am blessed to be part of such a wonderful practice here at Halonen Family Dentistry. Staying up-to-date on new technology and continuing our education is something we strive to do here. My main goal is to provide the best treatment possible for everyone that is in my care. I truly enjoy building relationships with my patients and do all that I can to make their visits enjoyable.

My husband and I have two awesome boys that are our pride and joy! Vacationing, watching movies and being outside are a few of our favorite things to do together.

Carley - Dental Hygienist

I am from Battle Creek and graduated from KCC in 2008. As a Dental Hygienist I’m always educating and encouraging health. It’s very rewarding to see patients learn and grow. I also love getting to know people and learning about their families, interests or travels. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, traveling, gardening & reading.

Lauren- Dental Hygienist

I was born and raised in Battle Creek. I graduated from St. Philip in 2007 and KCC in 2010. Becoming a Dental Hygienist has been a dream of mine since middle school. I find so much joy in building relationships with patients and helping to ease any anxiety. I am thrilled to be a part of the amazing team at Halonen Dentistry. They excel in providing quality dental care and education to patients.

My husband and I have been married since 2015 and have 2 wonderful daughters who keep us on the move.

Heaven - Dental Assistant

I grew up in and graduated from Bellevue. I have been in the dental field since 2013. I have worked both in public health and private practices and have had the privilege to be a dental assistant for Halonen Dentistry since 2016. I have decided to extend my career and go back to school for Dental Hygiene. I enjoy meeting new people every day and making sure each patient feels comfortable while in the dental office. When I am away from the office, I love to spend time with my family and 4 wonderful children.

Wendy - Dental Assistant

I have been a Dental Assistant with Halonen Family Dentistry since 2013. I graduated from Everest in 2013 and was hired after completing my Dental Assisting externship with the office. I started with a full time position but after giving birth to my second child in 2015, I decided working part time was best for my family. My husband and I have been together for 16 years and we have two beautiful daughters. I am extremely grateful to get the best of both worlds. Staying home part time has allowed me the opportunity to homeschool my girls and develop a strong relationship with them. Working a few days a week is my main source of adult interaction. I always enjoy the conversations I have with my co-workers and patients. I am beyond blessed to work with a small group of hard working and compassionate individuals at Halonen Family Dentistry.

Mara - Registered Dental Assistant

I grew up in Michigan and Tennessee, which are two beautiful states. I entered my Dental Career in 2019 and thoroughly enjoy what I do. I love being able to help restore a patient’s healthy smile and seeing their confidence and quality of life improve. I strive to help every patient have a positive experience, especially those with dental anxiety. My husband and I love going on road trips and spending time with our Niece and Nephew. We also enjoy going to see live music and sporting events when we can.

Mariah - Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in Battle Creek and graduated from Pennfield high school in 2019. After high school, I attended Kellogg Community College and decided to transfer to Ross Medical Educational Center. I graduated from the dental assisting program in 2023. Although I am just starting out my dental career, I am eager to continue learning and help comfort patients in the office.

Jenna - Registered Dental Assistant

I grew up in Farmington Hills and moved to Kalamazoo in 2015 when I got married. I am a certified dental assistant and began my career in 2006. I fell in love with dentistry at a young age thanks to my dad (general dentist) and my sister (periodontist). I was blessed to be trained by them and learn from them for 9 years before I moved to the west side of the state. I truly enjoy getting to know patients and helping them overcome any dental anxiety they may have. I love working at Halonen Dentistry with so many amazing and knowledgeable people! It’s the best feeling when you get to work with people who feel like family.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, the outdoors and spending time with my family/friends.
